Mark is best known for founding NetEvents summits, “Where Technology Leaders Meet the World’s Press”. He created a radical format in which inventors, technologists, futurists, tech VCs and analysts are invited to share common ground – discussing and debating the merits of fledgling technologies and industry trends in front of a discerning audience of international media from across the globe – North America, Latin America, Europe, Middle East, Africa and the Asia Pacific region. These boutique events have been held in as many corners of the world, as well as on-line, over the past 20+ years. These debates and discussions, and the resulting business relationships, have helped key innovative technologies and applications to evolve from concept to mainstream. These include new generations of Ethernet, mobile communications, Software Defined Networking, next generation cybersecurity and the application of AI to optimize IT solutions.
Mark’s current initiative, the Business Innovation Leaders Forum, aims to extend this silo-breaking principle to innovators from every sector of business, to recreate a dynamic culture of practical, technology-agnostic business innovation, and provide CIOs and business leaders with a stronger voice to influence technologists in developing technologies which better match their needs.
