NVIDIA is hosting its annual GTC event, and anticipation is building for today’s keynote from CEO Jensen Huang. There is much speculation about what specifics Huang might announce in his speech, but there is little doubt about the broad themes he is likely to cover.
One of NVIDIA’s heaviest areas of investment is artificial intelligence, and it is expected that Huang will reveal new software aimed at taking AI beyond the cloud data center right out to the edge of the enterprise network. Expect also some news concerning natural language processing and conversational AI.
NVIDIA is also hot on self-driving cars, most notably through its partnership with Mercedes-Benz. There is every chance that the keynote will touch on autonomous vehicles and what NVIDIA is planning to do for developers interested in creating solutions in the field of vehicular robotics.
The next generation of compute power will also feature somewhere in the proceedings. NVIDIA’s GPU technology is now augmented by new software to deliver optimal processor performance in a number of use cases. Gaming will be one of these, as well as data analytics, molecular biology and machine learning.
