Email service Mailchimp is embedding AI further into its platforms to help customers improve the performance of their marketing campaigns. Its newly released Content Optimizer service will deploy AI to uncover the common patterns behind successful marketing campaigns, based on Mailchimp’s huge archive of data.
Content Optimizer now uses machine learning models and business rules to predict the success of email campaigns in addition to proactively offering ideas on how to improve content, layout and visuals.
Mailchimp has deployed AI in the past, but the new features behind Content Optimizer take their use of it to the next level. The creative aspect of marketing campaigns, even ones that are automated, has historically been labor-intensive and manual. This is the first time software has been deployed on an automated marketing platform to help the creative process by understanding the story that is being told. As with other machine learning applications, the success of Content Optimizer rests on having access to large amounts of high quality data. The technology behind these latest innovations comes out of Mailchimp’s partnership and then acquisition of Inspector 6.
This event will be useful for any stakeholder in the AI space.
